Subject: Problem Opening Account[#xxxxxx]
Sir,
When I try to create an account at PartyPoker, I receive a message that I cannot do so due to, "Security Reasons".
I presently hold an account at EmpirePoker under the name, "xxxxx".
I would like to know why I am unable to open an account at your location also.
Thus far, I have not sent any money to play for Real, as I am in the process of evaluating different poker sites to determine which one best suits my needs.
Last night while I was playing in a $5-10 Play Money Game at Empire, I received a message from "Cashxxxx", (I think it was Cashxxxx), saying that I was eligible for a $100 Bonus, if I opened an account at PartyPoker, and used Bonus Code #xxxx.
Why do you bother to advertise at other sites, if I am not able to open an account?
What possible Security Threat does having an account at two different locations pose?
Please respond to this e-mail at your earliest convenience, otherwise I shall remove both PartyPoker, and EmpirePoker, from my list of possible locations at which I choose to send any money.
Thank you for your attention to this matter,
XXX

Dear player,
Thank you for contacting us.
As I can see from your records, you hold a Play money account with
EmpirePoker.com which is our Affiliate site. Both PartyPoker.com and
EmpirePoker.com are run by the same Poker systems due which for security reasons
you would not be able to have an account on both these sites.
Even after you close your account with one site you would not be able to open an
account with the other site.
If you have any questions or suggestions, please do not hesitate to contact our
Customer Care Department at any time. We are here 24/7 to assist you via email.
Thank you for choosing us as your online gaming site!
Have a nice day!

Sir,
Thank you for explaining absolutely NOTHING to me.
You have made the decision for me to send my money elsewhere very easy.
I'll also be posting this entire correspondence on theRx.com, and will be sure to talk to Ken about it personally.
Thank You for wasting my time,

Dear XXX,
Thank you for contacting us.
I apologize for any kind of confusion.
We do not allow a player to open more than one account in our poker gaming
system. You currently have an account with 'EmpirePoker.com', and because the
site you are attempting to create a new account with is also supported by our
poker system, creating another account will not be allowed.
XXX, if you have any questions or suggestions, please do not hesitate to
contact our Customer Care Department at any time. We are here 24/7 to assist you
via email.
Thank you for choosing us as your online gaming site!
Have a nice day!

I again sent an e-mail, requesting an answer to why this is not allowed, even if I did not have an acct. at the other location, and further requested that I be given an “Intelligent” answer this time. (Sorry I did not save this e-mail, but if Party Poker wishes to present it in its entirety (Except for my name and Acct.#), I have no objections)
I then received this e-mail from a different department -

Dear XXX,
With reference to your email, please note that you would be able to open an
account with PartyPoker.com, provided your EmpirePoker.com account is closed.
Please try to open an account PartyPoker.com and write back with the account
name that you tried so that the issue can be resolved.
If you have any further questions, comments or concerns, please contact us at
alerts@PartyPoker.com and we will be more than glad to assist you.
Best regards,

At this point I sent Party Poker an e-mail (Which, unfortunately, I neglected to save a copy of), explaining that I was attempting to log on with them, and would they please “Resolve” the problem that I was having doing so, as per their instructions.
(…..”As Time Goes By…”)
Another e-mail was sent, requesting to know if anything was going to be done to resolve the problem.
I explained to them that I was new to the world of Internet Poker, but that I was familiar with the way that Off-shore Sports Books operate, and that if SB Customer Service. Depts. were as efficient as theirs was, I’d be surprised if any of them remained in business.
I further stated that my patience was wearing thin, and the only reason I hadn’t already posted this on the Rx as I said I would, was because it appeared that Mr. Logan Nichols was making a sincere attempt to rectify the situation.
I said that if you wanted my business, then do something about it…if you don’t, that’s fine too. Just let me know, and I’ll find somewhere else to send my money and play.
I guess the only HI-Point to this whole thread, is that I hadn’t already posted any money with them. This whole adventure is centered around the fact that I was evaluating different Poker Sites, as mentioned in my first e-mail.
If I get these sorts of non-sensical replies, or no reply what-so-ever, over a “Play Account”, I shudder to think what might happen if I actually had ANY money posted up.
Apparently, if you already have 40,000 players, (as they like to brag), whether or not one more guy sends them any money, doesn’t really matter! I Wish I was as uncaring as that!
(As I’m Sure the owners of PokerParty Are!) (As well as the principles of this site, which I’m sure derives revenue from PartyPoker signups)
Once Again, Draw Your Own Conclusions.
Thanks for hearing me out.
